Account

Making an account

When creating an account by Email, you may enter a password to make sure your account doesn't get stolen easily. You may also need to confirm your email.

When creating an account by Discord, Reddit, or Twitch, you may also need to confirm it.

Account Options

You can connect your PixelPlace account with your Discord, Reddit or Twitch account in the Accounts page as this gives two benefits.

  1. You can log in by simply clicking one of the buttons and confirming instead of having to type in a password and email all the time.
  2. You can get free coins in return for connecting the accounts.
  3. You can display your accounts on your profile so people can connect to you easily. (You can disable this on Account.)

You may also disable your account if you would like to.

Bans

If you're banned on Pixels World War: MVP, otherwise known as canvas 8, then any other account on your IP may also be banned.

Even if you haven't committed any rule-breaking, alternative accounts are still not allowed and mods can easily recognize when some account has the same IP.

If you have another player in your IP and you'd like to approve them, confront the mods that you two aren't the same people.

If your account is connected to a VPN, your account may get terminated as a result.

If your IP has an account that's terminated, any other account in your IP may also be terminated.

Types of Chat

There are four types of chats.

  1. Global: The place where everyone in different canvases can chat together. It is the main canvas chat of Pixels World War, otherwise known as canvas 7 as it's the main canvas you go to when you log on.
  2. Canvas: The place where everyone in the same canvas can chat together. Every canvas has one of these except for 7.
  3. Guild: The place where everyone in the same guild can chat together. Potentially useful for planning stuff and conversations that may not be fit for public.
  4. Whispers: As the name implies, whispers are the place where only two sets of people can chat together. May be useful for stuff that requires only two people talking. All the chatting goes away as soon as you refresh the page.

All Commands

  • /w USERNAME MESSAGE: Whisper to someone in the whispers tab.
  • /r: Reply to the last whisperer (Obsolete due to it immediately replying to the last message as soon as you click the chat box).
  • /report USERNAME MESSAGE: Report someone to the PixelPlace moderation team.
  • /guild: Open the Guilds List.
  • /guild TAG: Open the guild profile.
  • /here: Share your position in chat.
  • /darkmode: Change to dark mode.

Friends List

Hidden away in the bottom right corner is the friends list. It shows all the friends you have, all the people in your guild (if you have one), and all the people you've blocked.

It may also show you which people are online in your friends and guild member list and which canvases they are in if they are supposedly online.

Scrolling down, you can see the top 300 canvases.

You can sort them by:

Settings/Tools

Settings/Tools is an area where you can adjust stuff to your liking. Note that many of these are already on your keyboard to do so you don't have to come to the menu page every time you want to do something.

Painting Settings include:

  • Live Users Tracking (Premium) (Key: Shift + T) - This feature means you can track whoever is placing which pixels currently. It's a very useful feature for when you need it. It may help when you're moderating a canvas, or just trying to find who's attacking you and negotiate with them. Sadly this is premium only feature.
  • Save Users Tracking (Premium) (Key: Shift + L) - This feature is basically the same as L.U.T. but it'll record from when you turn the feature on. Useful feature when you want to see who's breaking rules or doing something but you haven't caught the screenshot in time.
  • Pixel Grid (Key: Shift + H) - Pressing H or the option on the settings page will create a grid on the canvas for you. It is useful for when you need to count pixels either on game or screenshot.
  • Lock Movement (Key: Shift + M) - Pressing M or the option on the settings page will prevent the canvas from moving. It is useful for when you need to focus on something and don't want you to move.
  • Protection Flashing - Turning it on will mean whenever you go on a protected pixel, it will flash telling you it's a protected pixel. It's particularly useful for when you're trying to find what's a protected pixel and what's not.
  • Zoom buttons - If on, it'll display the zoom buttons on the top right on the site. Particularly useful if you need to zoom in but manual zooming by mouse isn't cutting it.
  • Create your own painting - Clicking on this button will send you to the "Create New Painting" page. What you can do on it is further down.
  • Download painting - Download the canvas you're currently in and save it into your documents. Useful if you want a picture of a canvas or can't screenshot one.

Chat Settings include:

  • Display Notifications - Whenever someone whispers you or pings you, if on, it'll show up on the top middle displaying the person and message. Particularly useful in every way.
  • Display Friend Notifications - Whenever your friend goes online or offline, if on, it'll show up on the top middle displaying the person going online or offline. Useful if you're like to know if someone is going online or not.
  • Display Guild Tags - If on, the guild tags will appear on the left of the username of the person sending the message. Useful if you need to know who is in which guild without having to click every username in chat.
  • Display Timestamps - If on, the timestamps will appear on the left on the badges of the person sending the message. Simply useful if you want to check the time.
  • Invisible Mode - If on, it'll show you're offline. Useful if you're spying or doing something which requires you being offline.

Tips are simply just tips to help you on the game.

Note: Holding left click doesn't place pixels anymore. Holding space will, and holding left click will do the same thing as holding right click.

Chat Icons simply show you all of the icons available in the game.

And the guild points tell you how to get points for a guild.

Canvases

Main article: Canvases

Making a canvas

Making a canvas is relatively easy. On the "Create New Painting" page, either directly or through the Settings/Tool page, you can go create your own canvas.

Non-Premium

Without premium, your options are way more limited. But you can:

  • Change the title
  • Make a painting description
  • Allow shop items

This means you're limited to a public blank white 150x150 canvas, with all colour allowed, and a 5 second cooldown.

With Premium

With premium, your canvas options are way more broad now. This includes:

  • Creating canvases from 150x150 to 3000x3000
  • Remove the cooldown entirely or set it to an hour
  • Change the access setting to other than public
    • Approval - Only able to place pixels if you're allowed to
    • Guild - Guild members can get in free but others aren't allowed to
    • Owner - No one gets to place anything other than the owner
    • Twitch Subscribers - People who are subscribed to your twitch channel can place pixels easily, while non-subscribers have to request for approval
  • Protect pixels you don't want to be changed
  • Limit the amount of colour needed
  • Set the background colour a different colour
  • Use a painting template
    • Pixels World War - The classic map you see on canvas 7
    • World War No Border - The same map as Pixels World War but without borders
    • USA - Map of the states of the United States of America
    • Mexico - Made by KillerAndMX - Map of the Mexican states

Moderating a canvas

As an owner

You can have:

  • Assign Moderators (if set to Approval, Guild or Twitch Subscriber)
  • Accept/Decline people (if set to Approval, Guild or Twitch Subscriber)
