ROME (Formerly HOLY)

The Original ROME
Rome was originally formed in PIXEL WORLD WAR (Canvas 7) by AustinUSA, who was quickly joined by Krekan. They went on to conquer all of Italy. Later, Austin and Krekan agreed to combine Rome with another faction called HOLY (led by gull) to form Holy Rome. Austin, Krekan, and Gull became the First Triumvirate of ROME. AustinUSA went inactive around this time.
(Holy) Rome was later led into MVP by Krekan. The faction took over Italy, Spain, Turkey, and the Balkans before being subdued by Void. Krekan went inactive around this time, allowing Gull to take full control as the first ROME emperor. Later, in the Turk invasion of the Void, Rome declared independence.
Eventually, Gull would split Holy Rome into reformed into ROME. This caused the 60 members, Rome and Holy to become two separate factions, both with 30 members. They fought for control over Italy for over a month. During the war, Rome acquired a bot, leading them to win against HOLY.
(Look at the discord to see the full history. This is a summary and not the complete story.) After a long period of inactivity, Rome was revived by Gull. Since the bot that fueled Rome's conquests had been rendered useless by a recent change in how the site worked, gull was forced to bring the faction to MVP. In the beginning, they took enough land to call themselves Rome. However, gull and the ROMEs wanted more. What would follow would be a series of massive world conquests that would be halted by one thing: UPF. Ben Herr was sent as a ROME spy, which gained the trust of UPF, allowing them to conquer what they wanted and spare those who wanted alliances. Through these conquests, Rome made a name for themselves. After a series of events, Gull decided to kicked Ben Herr from Rome. With this, war was declared on Fulcrum, Ben's UPF Splinter unit. Since Ben was now leader of UPF, Rome would be outnumbered. At this point, Rome had over 100 members, most having quit pixelplace. Since Rome was low on manpower, it could sustain its land against UPF. As Rome's members grew rebellious against Gull, claiming he was incompetent, Gull abdicated and put Goo520 in his place.
The Fall of the Original ROME
Near the end of its life, Goo520 and Gull decided to reform ROME into a republic. Their goal was to basically have the members kill ROME by themselves. The reason behind this was because Gull "couldn't take the stress anymore". After a while, Gull announced the fall of ROME so he could make Lakedaimon. Many high ranking officials went on to make their own successful factions and Rome had finally fell.ROME would go officially inactive after December 10th, only participating in minor raids on the World War canvas.
The Revival of ROME
ROME received a big revival under the direction of the user known as Rome and previously mentioned BenHerr. This event would be know as the "ROME Civil War" despite involvement by other European factions. The revival's triumphs lasted only a few hours as it was met with heavy resistance, with many users dotting and line attacking. ROME would dissolve once again. Despite it’s ultimate failure, the revival was successful in dismantling a new Austria-Hungary-ROMEian Empire. At the height of this event, ROME controlled all of Southern Europe including the Balkans, Iberia, all of Gaul, Britannia, and large swaths of land in North Africa.
Soon after Rome's second fall, BenHerr and Rome, as well as many other important Original ROME officials, have officially separated from ROME and have formed a breakaway faction, SPQR.
However, ROME, led by Gull, has been recreated once again and is now active and growing once again. With the return of one of the founders, Krekan, who was awarded the first Coronatus Herba, the greatest military and political honor, ROME has done many successful raids and has ended up fifth in Guild Rank.
