UTC clock showing the date August 8th 2025 at 09:48 o'clock

The UTC Clock is a pixel-art on MVP that shows the current date and time. It is located in the Northwest Territories in Canada. The creator of the piece is unknown. Player Okokok7 has stated that he thinks he might be the creator, but doesn't know for sure.

How to read

The clock has an interface with 2 horizontal rows each consisting of 3 pairs of 2 digits. The upper row displays the date in the format of DD/MM/YY, while the lower row displays the time of day in the 24h or “military” format.

History

first screenshot of UTC clock from November 2nd 2024

The clock was created in 2024 between October 28th and 31st. Even though the first known screenshot only dates back to November 2nd, the clock on it shows the date of October 31st. This makes it the second oldest continuous pixel art on the map after the cloaked NPC.

Initially, the clock was smaller in height than today with the lower row of digits only being 3 pixels tall. This changed between December 3rd 2024 and January 20th 2025 when the clock was extended towards the bottom making the lower row of digits 5 pixels tall. Between June 6th and July 27th 2025 the artwork was slightly damaged, this was fixed by ToastbrotJ on November 14th the same year.

The artwork was placed under protection after §3 of Alaskan Law by ToastbrotJ on September 3rd 2025, this means that it can’t legally be altered or destroyed as long as it’s in Alaskan territory.

Precursor

In June 2023, GZFan made a similar clock out of a faction art memorial.
