The 5/5 Incident
The 5/5 incident was a series of wars occurring on May 5, 2021. These wars were declared by the ALB (Anti-Landhogger Band), led by Abhinav21, Temenus, and AlmosYT.
Background
On May 4, 2021, user Abhinav21 and his friend, Temenus, decided to invade NANJ in pink for fun. What followed was a philosophical discussion about how landhoggers are bad and what we could do to stop them. What followed was the creation of the ALB by Abhinav21, a coalition against landhogger factions on MVP. On that same day, a few attacks were launched against NANJ, but none succeeded.
War against NANJ
At 12:13 PM EST, Abhinav21 announced a campaign against NANJ. This was a long battle, but eventually after almost 50 minutes, the ALB had succeeded. What followed was the “Great Balkanization of China” where the ALB declared the land it had annexed free and that anybody could create factions in it, as long as the faction is not NANJ or NANJ affiliated. The process of the Balkanization took hours to reach full momentum, but eventually, not a trace of the land ALB had taken was there.

War against PAKI
Shortly after the ALB victory over Nanjing, USSR member Aaagamer told the ALB an invasion of PAKI by the USSR would start and that the ALB should assist them. An alliance between the ALB and the USSR was made,and the invasion of PAKI began at 1:04 PM EST. This war took approximately ten minutes. At 4:14 PM, PAKI was announced defeated. PAKI attempted to re-establish its land several times, fueled by their hatred of the guild USSR, however these attempts at resurrection never got PAKI anywhere.
Aftermath
China and the Indian subcontinent had become fully active again, having many users play in these areas at a time after the defeat of PAKI and NANJ. The USSR launched a campaign against ITHA without the ALB. Asia was deemed “active again” by ALB members and affiliates. Many heated discussions regarding these events took place in the chat, some being dealt with by the chat mods.
