Hong Kong Republic
The Hong Kong Republic (HKR), alternatively referred to as Blue Hong Kong, or simply Hong Kong, is a country located in Southern China. The country is owned and operated by GodzillaFan 2016 (GZFan2016), and is easily recognisable by its blue color, oversimplified Bauhinia, and the small pixelart inside of it.
It has existed as HKR since January 30th 2023, and is (possibly) the oldest continuously existing country on the MVP canvas.
History
The Hong Kong Republic was formed by GZ from a much larger China-spanning Hong Kong Empire, formed by Luisitopop and co-owned between him and GZ, as HKE wasn't expected to last that long due to its size and sheer upkeep.
Hong Kong was reduced to 8 pixels, then 2 for a brief period, though after Mesphiang's 2025 Eurasian Conquest the HKR regrew and now sits at its current size of 1156 pixels.
Invasions
As with all the old countries, Hong Kong was invaded many times.
During mid 2024 a small conflict occured between Akane and Godzilla over the control of Hong Kong's territory, which subsequently ended. Other conflicts also occured against Renko, Tim21, and Obmer, though these lasted for about a week.
Smaller invasions did also occur
- Once by some Turkish guy (which both parties united to form the Turkish-Hong Kong Union, though this was cancelled)
- Once by Scarlett (who created Umbrella Hong Kong)
