A prop is a usually small pixel-art that depicts a real life object or structure and is used to mark its location on the map, similar to playing pieces placed on the map in the board game risk. Popular examples for props include tanks, roads, flag masts and nukes. There are canvases where people build entire landscapes and cities using props similar to carpets that have streets and buildings on them for children.
